A leading entertainment organisation based in Luton with a long successful history are currently recruiting a permanent Service Delivery Manager who will be responsible for managing, supporting and delivering the Desktop and telephone service across the business covering operational systems and the underpinning infrastructure.
The service delivery will cover service design, day-to-day availability, resilience, back-up, disaster recovery, and basic system and date maintenance. Day to day support of approximately 500 head office and remote users.
Role Requirements:
- Provide leadership and direction across the Desktop Support Team
- Direct line management and development of the Desktop Support Team
- Review and enhance service structures (with internal and external resources) to maximise effectiveness
- Manage the provision and support of desktops/laptops/telephony across the PTH and mobile estate including the management of our MDM platform
- Set and agree a comprehensive set of SLA’s for each key service
- Ensure that all developed/procured systems can meet agreed SLA’s
- Engage with the Project Teams to ensure acceptance of new systems into the production environment can be supported and delivered
- Ensure sufficient capacity is provisioned in a timely manner to meet business demands, performance requirements and growth
- Work closely with PTH Heads of Department and to understand and agree SLA’s
- Communicate service delivery performance to all interested parties
- Identify and mange any issues impacting service delivery in either customer or internal-use environments
- Ensure all money spent is targeted at the “best value” solutions/services
- Provide clear and transparent reporting of all IT operational expenditure
- Identify and mitigate any IT operational risks
- Ensure that day-to-day services adhere to relevant DLP and PCI-DSS compliance standards
- Actively manage the performance of suppliers/partners to deliver services to agreed SLA’s
Essential:
- 3+ years’ experience in Desktop Support and IT Operations
- 3+ years’ experience of managing suppliers at a detailed level
- Extensive knowledge of MS Windows 7,10 and MS Office products
- Administration and maintenance of MS Active Directory and Group Policy
- Good knowledge/experience of troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and vLANs
- An experienced line/team manager
- Experience of working in a B2C, customer focussed company
- “Hands on” and comfortable working in the detail of technology and service delivery
Desirable:
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent (or appropriate practical experience)
- ITIL qualified (or appropriate practical experience)
- Microsoft and Networking qualifications as appropriate
- Knowledge of Airwatch or similar MDM
